A Safety-First Loading Dock Crew in Bloomsburg

Our crew fixes, services and sets up dock levelers, doors and restraints at warehouses, plants, stores and distribution centers. Each visit opens with the same routine. Power gets locked out, the trailer is held at the door and the work zone is marked off before any bolt turns.

How We Run a Job

We work on dock levelers, vehicle restraints, overhead doors, high speed doors and rolling grilles. That equipment moves heavy loads and stores a lot of energy in springs, hydraulics and cables. When it fails, people get hurt. So we treat safety as the first part of the work, not a step we squeeze in at the end.

Before we touch anything, we talk with whoever runs the dock. We find out which doors have to stay open, when trucks are due and where your people will be. Then we tag out power, block the leveler deck with its maintenance strut and cone off the work area so forklifts stay clear. If a trailer is at the door, it stays restrained or it gets moved.

When the repair is done, we run the equipment through full cycles with your staff watching. Then we point out the worn parts and explain the fix, and we send pictures if they make it clearer. You get a straight answer on whether a part can be saved or should be swapped out. Nothing beyond the agreed work starts until you have a written estimate in hand.

What You Can Count On

  • Lockout on every job

We disconnect and tag power on every leveler, door and restraint we work on. Nobody on our crew goes under a raised deck without the strut in place. It adds a few minutes. It is not optional.

  • Straight answers on repair or replace

A worn lip hinge or a tired hydraulic cylinder does not always mean a new leveler. We tell you what is failing, what it will do next if left alone and what fixing it involves. Then you decide.

  • Work planned around your shipments

Downtime costs you loads. Where we can, we take one door down at a time and tell you up front how long each one will be out.

  • A clean, working dock when we leave

We haul off old parts, wipe up hydraulic fluid and pull our cones. Before we go, we walk the dock with you and run each piece of equipment.

Docks We Travel To

Our trucks head out from Bloomsburg to receiving docks across the region, from Berwick and Danville down to Shamokin and Mount Carmel, plus Scott, Mahoning, Ralpho, Coal, Butler and Salem. The people who call us manage warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, grocery and retail receiving areas, and trucking terminals.

Long winters are hard on dock equipment. Salt and slush ride in on trailers, seals stiffen and door springs work harder in the cold. Regular preventative maintenance catches that wear before it turns into a stuck door or a leveler that won't hold. Our Service Areas page has more on where we travel.
